Job summary

Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists, act as a liaison between the pharmacy and village clinics, and help with ordering and dispensing functions.

You will enter prescriptions, package medications, manage stock, and participate in quality improvement. A high school diploma or GED and pharmacy experience are preferred; valid driver’s license preferred; competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; basic math quiz required.
• Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Customer service experience desirable.
• Detail-oriented and accurate paperwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaison between the pharmacy and village clinics.
• Receive and fill village drug orders promptly.
• Receive and fill ward/department stock orders.
• Package medications with labels for mailing.
• Check stock levels and replenish to authorized levels.
• Enter prescriptions in the computer.
• Maintain statistics on pharmacy activities.
