Meijer Inc. in Ohio seeks a Pharmacy Technician to join our customer-focused pharmacy team. You will retrieve medications, input patient and prescription data, label prescriptions, and assist with insurance claims and drug orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, state-specific retail experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve medications from inventory.
• Input prescription and customer data into dispensing system.
• Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
• Complete paperwork for filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Order prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stock prescription medications.
• Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services.
• Prioritize workload.
• Communicate effectively and be an agent of change.
• Maintain a clean, orderly pharmacy and protect patient confidentiality.

What You'll be Doing:

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication skills and be agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
