Job Summary and Qualifications
- Oversee pharmacy operations and workflow under the Pharmacy Manager.
- Ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy, JCAHO, CMS, FDA standards.
- Perform pharmacy technician duties as needed.
- Set leadership expectations, including overtime shifts.
- Assist in scheduling and evaluating pharmacy staff.
- Ensure proper staffing during call-ins, weather, or high workload periods.
- Participate in hiring, orientation, and training of pharmacy staff.
- Prepare monthly KPI reports.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- Assist inventory management and maintain equipment.
- Monitor quality assurance processes.
- Support policy development and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain employee files and ensure inspections are completed.
- Track customer service issues and provide staff education.
- Conduct staff meetings and competency assessments.
- Adjust operations to meet facility needs.
- Support data retrieval for reports and resource allocation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Associate degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- CPhT certification preferred.
- Pharmacy Technician license or registration required.
