Job Summary and Qualifications

• Oversee pharmacy operations and workflow under the Pharmacy Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy, JCAHO, CMS, FDA standards.
• Perform pharmacy technician duties as needed.
• Set leadership expectations, including overtime shifts.
• Assist in scheduling and evaluating pharmacy staff.
• Ensure proper staffing during call-ins, weather, or high workload periods.
• Participate in hiring, orientation, and training of pharmacy staff.
• Prepare monthly KPI reports.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Assist inventory management and maintain equipment.
• Monitor quality assurance processes.
• Support policy development and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain employee files and ensure inspections are completed.
• Track customer service issues and provide staff education.
• Conduct staff meetings and competency assessments.
• Adjust operations to meet facility needs.
• Support data retrieval for reports and resource allocation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Associate degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• CPhT certification preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician license or registration required.
