Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care across Carle Foundation Hospital and affiliated locations in central Illinois. The role involves filing, compounding, reconstitution, labeling, and delivery of medications in a fast-paced setting.

The technician will support chemotherapy preparation, prescription processing, restocking, and maintaining training materials as needed.

Qualifications

• Certification as Pharmacy Technician.
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician within 60 days of license application (IL).
• IDFPR requirements for Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely prepare and label chemotherapy drugs for administration.
• Fill and deliver Omnicell restock lists.
• Enter and process new prescriptions and refills; fill medication orders.
• Prepare IV products using aseptic technique and label appropriately.
• Restock and replace trays and kits; assist in training materials within the pharmacy.
