Pharmacy Technician IV-Part Time

Location: Lenexa City Center

Job Description:

Executesexpert-level pharmacy technician duties across all core and advanced workflows, providingstrategic support for pharmacy operations and patient-centered care. Maintains proficiency inhazardous and sterile compounding, controlled substance management, inventory integrity, and regulatory compliance. Leads initiatives inmedication safety, quality assurance, and operational optimization, whilementoring staff and supporting training programs. Collaborates with pharmacists, clinical teams, and leadership toadvance departmental goals and contributes to practice improvement, governance, and professional development efforts. Maintainsnational pharmacy certification.

Work Hours/Shifts:

• 2 x 10 hour shifts
• Mix of days and evenings, with some weekend hours
• 20 hours/week

Job Functions:

• Leads enterprise-level inventory operations, including procurement processes, formulary alignment, and perpetual inventory accuracy.
• Oversees controlled substance programs, diversion prevention efforts, and compliance with DEA and institutional policies.
• Conducts advanced audits and operations reviews to advise on inventory integrity analytics, cost containment strategies, medication shortage mitigation, and supply chain resilience.
• Leads system-wide medication safety initiatives, including risk mitigation, error prevention, and safety education.
• Facilitates root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts. Serves as a pharmacy safety champion and advisor to leadership.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 2+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience [Required]
