Job summary

Sanford Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician in the United States, Evening shift, 40 hours per week. You will prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist, handling unit dose dispensing and IV admixtures in a hospital or clinical setting.

You will assist pharmacists with pharmaceutical care, use multiple computer programs, participate in billing and quality assurance, and contribute to safe, compliant operations across Sanford Health facilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• South Dakota: Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the SD Board of Pharmacy required within 30 days from the date of hire.
• As of Sept 12, 2024, SD requires technician certification for immunizations, remote pharmacy, or other advanced functions as approved by the Board.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist.
• In a medical center or institutional setting, duties include unit dose dispensing, IV admixtures, compounding, and automated dispensing devices.
• Assist the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care and assist in billing-related functions; participate in quality assurance as needed.
