St. Luke’s Outpatient Pharmacy Center for Orthopedics/Sport Medicine is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (Inventory) to support medication inventory, purchasing workflows, and EPIC operations.

This full-time role focuses on accurate tracking, timely receipt of products, and resolving inventory discrepancies to ensure patient care and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include cycle counts, receiving orders, helping manage backorders and stock utilization, and running EPIC inventory reports.

Qualifications

  • 2+ Years of Pharmacy Experience.
  • Inventory management preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Idaho pharmacy technician License.
  • At least one year of Infusion making experience.
  • CPhT preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inventory cleanup and troubleshoot discrepancies.
  • Execute cycle counts, monitor expirations, and manage expiring/short-dated medications.
  • Receive, scan, and verify incoming orders with proper lot/expiration tracking and stock rotation.
  • Support purchasing and inventory optimization, backorders, substitutions, returns, PAR adjustments.
  • Run EPIC inventory reports, support vaccine and regulatory workflows (340B, IRIS), and identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.

Position Summary

The Inventory Pharmacy Technician (Willow/EPIC) is responsible for supporting accurate medication inventory, purchasing workflows, and daily operational efficiency within EPIC. This role ensures accurate medication tracking, timely receipt of products, and proactive troubleshooting of inventory discrepancies that directly impact patient care, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily inventory cleanup, troubleshoot discrepancies, resolve negative balances, and ensure accurate item setup and maintenance.

  • Execute Cycle Counts & Monitor Expirations

Conduct routine cycle counts, correct inventory variances, and proactively manage expiring and short-dated medications.

Accurately receive, scan, and verify incoming orders (ABC/ Cencora , direct shipments), ensuring proper lot/expiration tracking and stock rotation.

  • Support Purchasing & Inventory Optimization

Partner with buyers to manage backorders, substitutions, returns, PAR adjustments, and overall inventory utilization.

  • Drive Compliance, Reporting & Process Improvement

Run EPIC inventory reports, support vaccine and regulatory workflows (e.g., 340B, IRIS), and identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency

  • Schedule/Hours: Full-time 40 hours per week
  • May be eligible for certification pay for PTCB Adv. Certification; preceptor pay

Qualifications

  • 2+ Years of Pharmacy Experience
  • Inventory management preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Idaho pharmacy technician License
  • AT least one year of Infusion making experience

  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently
  • CPhT
