Job summary

Vanderbilt Health’s ESS Pharmacy team is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Coord to support pharmacists in preparing, dispensing and distributing medications. This offsite role focuses on inventory management using Omnicell systems and requires adherence to regulatory standards, with patient service as a key component.

The position offers exposure to hospital and clinic operations, a warehouse‑like environment, and opportunities to grow within a large academic health system in Nashville.

Qualifications

• Licensure as Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee.
• Less than 1 year of work experience.
• Graduate of an approved program.
• Experience in hospital/clinical pharmacy setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
• Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Follows hospital policies and federal/state regulations.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
