Job summary

Muhlenberg Job Corps Center is seeking a full-time instructor to teach the basic principles of career technical education and to develop and implement the CTT program aligned with approved guides and TARs.

You will collaborate to create lessons, adapt to student learning styles, and emphasize work-based learning and industry certifications while maintaining safety and compliance across programs.

Qualifications

• Above average public speaking skills and written skills.
• Strong verbal and problem solving abilities.
• Computer literacy including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Teach basic principles and concepts of assigned career technical education skills to students.
• Develop and implement CTT program in line with Course Guides and TARs.
• Provide context learning opportunities to improve academic skills in the CTT setting.
• Collaborate to develop lessons and instructional supports addressing industry certification requirements.
• Tailor instruction to learning styles and goals of individual students.
• Deliver training using projects/workplace contexts and work-based learning as a core approach.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry skills, safety, and health requirements.
• Update TARs weekly to credit student skill attainment.
• Support Center Workforce Council and partner links with employers and labor organizations.
• Ensure accommodations for students with disabilities when needed.
