Job summary

National Center for Urban Solutions (NCUS TEC) seeks a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician Instructor to deliver a 32-hour training program over four weeks in Pittsburgh. You’ll teach foundational topics, support student success, and prepare participants for entry-level opportunities in healthcare and pharmacy industries.

Ideal candidates have a Pharmacy Technician credential (CPhT) and at least two years of pharmacy experience; prior teaching or workforce development experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience in a retail, hospital, or healthcare setting.
• Previous training, teaching, or workforce development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pharmacy technician curriculum in an engaging and professional manner.
• Teach foundational topics including pharmacy operations, medication safety, prescription processing, pharmacy calculations, customer service, and healthcare regulations.
• Facilitate classroom discussions, hands-on activities, and practical exercises.
• Monitor student attendance, participation, and academic progress.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and academic support to participants.
• Evaluate student performance through assessments and assignments.
• Maintain accurate classroom records and communicate regularly with NCUS TEC staff regarding student progress.

NCUS TEC is seeking an experienced and motivated Part-Time Pharmacy Technician Instructor to deliver a 32-hour Pharmacy Technician training program over a 4-week period. The instructor will be responsible for teaching aspiring pharmacy technicians, facilitating engaging classroom instruction, supporting student success, and preparing participants for entry-level employment opportunities within the healthcare and pharmacy industry.
