Job Highlights:

• Primary Location: SSM Health St. Clare Hospital - Fenton
• Department: Inpatient Pharmacy
• Schedule: PRN
• Shift: Variable
• Starting Pay: $20.08 minimum (based on experience and role)
• Shift Differentials: Increases for evenings, nights, weekends based on location and profile

Job Summary: Provides support to pharmacists including review of prescription orders, medication preparation, counting, labeling, packing, and delivery. Responsible for operating and maintaining drug distribution systems, stocking, and preparing IV medications.

Responsibilities include:

1. Preparing medications for verification and refilling in automated dispensing machines.
2. Delivering medication doses to units and returning unused or discontinued doses.
3. Conducting monthly safety inspections of storage areas and replacing outdated medications.
4. Managing inventory, including ordering, stocking, updating systems, and conducting inspections.
5. Documenting and dispensing controlled substances securely.
6. Maintaining safety and performing additional duties as assigned.

Education: High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.

Experience: No experience required.

Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting, standing, walking, and repetitive movements; occasional heavy lifting; visual and auditory acuity.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid Pharmacy Technician license in the respective state, and certification (CPhT or equivalent).
