We are seeking a pharmacy technician responsible for assisting with processing prescription orders, labels, creating compounding records, delivery tickets, and assembling patient supplies and equipment under the supervision of a pharmacist. The technician also supports quality control, maintenance, cleaning, and performance improvement activities as directed by the pharmacy manager.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy.
• Completion of pharmacy technician training and certification through PTCB or NPTA preferred, with certification to be completed within one year of employment.
• Laboratory or healthcare experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with CPR+ or CareTend software and home infusion experience are a plus but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Respect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Prepare, package, and distribute medications.
• Maintain pharmacy area cleanliness and stock.
• Calibrate pumps daily for base solutions.
• Follow dispensing, processing, and shipping processes accurately.
• Assist with scheduling, insurance verification, and work orders.
• Maintain all required records legally and accurately.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Participate in patient evaluations.
• Assist in training new staff and provide feedback.
• Support pharmacy services for healthcare professionals.
• Maintain department facilities, equipment, and materials.
• Assist in inventory control and complete related paperwork.
• Share knowledge and work as part of a team.
• Interact positively and respectfully with others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

• Active Texas Pharmacy Technician or Trainee license.
• Pass all pharmacy competencies within 90 days of employment.
• Effective and professional communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
