Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program preferred.
- Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician License required.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification within two years of licensure.
- Experience in pharmacy settings preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, package, label, and dispense medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify prescription orders and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking and storage.
- Provide customer service and answer questions under pharmacist supervision.
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records.
- Support medication packaging and compounding when permitted.
