Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations in our Albany store. You will assist pharmacists, handle prescriptions, manage inventory, and provide compassionate service to patients.

The role requires completing state licensure requirements and a training program, with opportunities to perform immunizations where permissible. This position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and customer care in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
• Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care: creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone; keeping patients healthy by offering immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone; and solving or escalating patient problems
• Completing basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, and as directed by the pharmacy leadership team, such as putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts
• Contributing to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset, and being receptive to feedback; expanding clinical and technical knowledge
• Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, with a safe, inclusive team dynamic; traveling to stores in the market as needed
• Understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
• Complying with CVS policies and procedures to protect patient safety and privacy
• Delivering additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing) where allowed by law and training
