Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Pharmacy Technician III to support the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, collecting and inputting patient data, and assisting with routine duties.

This hourly role requires a High School Degree or equivalent, 2 years of experience, SCBOP registration, and PTCB certification, with a 40-hour workweek and rotating shifts.

Assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department.

Additional Job Description

Education: High School Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 2 years.

Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP), and national certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required and must be maintained.
