Good Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II in the Pharmacy department. The role involves proper handling of medications, including receiving, inventory management in Pyxis, repackaging, compounding, and delivering orders.

The position requires meticulous recordkeeping, HIPAA compliance, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate holds a current CPhT certification and MA license, with the ability to work full-time on rotating overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of basic math for compounding and medication calculations.

Responsibilities

• Performs hazardous compounding and batch sterility tests.
• Monitors KPIs or contributes to process improvements.
• Assists in updating training materials for staff.
• Demonstrates intermediate purchasing or ADC optimization skills.
• Complies with HIPAA and maintains accurate recordkeeping for controlled substances.
• Reports discrepancies to pharmacist or supervisor promptly.
