Job summary

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to interpret and data-enter moderately complex prescriptions and process prior authorizations within the REMS program. You will troubleshoot adjudication issues and inform physicians, members, and the sales team of determinations.

Minimum requirements include HS diploma and 2+ years of pharmacy experience with active state licensure or certification where required.

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience.
Active professional license if required by state law; state technician certification or national certification per state requirements.
Preferred URAC competencies: strong oral, written and interpersonal communication, problem solving, facilitation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Interprets and enters moderately complex prescriptions.
Processes prior authorization requests and ensures Medicare compliance.
Troubleshoots adjudication issues and communicates determinations to stakeholders.
Educates members on prescription benefits and applicable pharmacy rules.
Maintains records of prior authorizations, rebates, and monthly reports.
