An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to support clinical pharmacists in delivering timely and accurate medication distribution. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, along with registration with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy and national certification. Assists the clinical pharmacists in providing an accurate and timely medication distribution system.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Registration: Must be registered with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician within 30 days of hire, and registration must be active.
Certification: Employees must have national certification with PTCB or ExCPT upon hire. Failure to obtain certification by the deadline may result in termination, unless the employee is enrolled in a pharmacy school and provides proof of enrollment, allowing them to remain in the role until obtaining an intern license.
In case of initial certification, a passing PTCB exam result is considered active status for 30 days. For renewal, active status must be attained within 30 days of expiration.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in basic math applications are required.
