HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress in Cypress, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II PRN to support pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and ensuring accuracy of drug records. This role works under supervision and emphasizes quality, safety, and efficiency in patient care.
The candidate will assist with IV, chemo, and TPN preparations, restock the area, and deliver meds to patient care floors.
Qualifications
- Pharmacy technician license required.
- Prefer 1 year hospital pharmacy experience.
- Proficient in aseptic techniques & IV preparation.
- ACPE Sterile Products Certification; BLS preferred.
- National Technician Certification.
Responsabilités
- Procure and distribute drug orders per physician or pharmacist requests within policy and timeframes.
- Fill medication orders for pharmacist checking and deliver to nursing units.
- Generate reports, pick lists and labels as required.
- Process discharges, transfers, and IV, chemo, and TPN medications.
- Restock work area and prepare Pyxis refills for RPh checking.
