Job Summary and Qualifications

The Pharmacy Technician II performs advanced and basic pharmacy functions timely, including duties with Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) and other specialized tasks assigned by management.

Responsibilities include:

• Applying theoretical knowledge and known solutions to predictable problems.
• Using discretion and judgment in processes requiring well-developed skills.
• Interpreting information carefully and responsibly.
• Maintaining medication inventory, storage, and security per regulations.
• Preparing documentation logs, work records, and safety checks accurately.
• Interacting with hospital personnel via in person and phone communication.
• Performing billing, calculations, medication compounding, labeling, packaging, and transportation.

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year hospital pharmacy experience.
• IV Certification required.
• National Certification (CPhT) preferred.
• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Certification (CPhT) must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• State Registration or License as required.
