Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support hospital operations at St. John’s Hospital Camarillo. You will prepare and distribute medications (excluding IV chemotherapy) following policies, laws, and professional standards, ensuring accuracy in orders and records.

You will work closely with pharmacists, nurses, patients and families, maintaining thorough documentation and adhering to safety protocols. A strong focus on detail and ability to follow directions is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and pharmacy technician licensure/registration.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail in medication preparation and record-keeping.
• Ability to work tactfully with the team, patients and families.
• Competency in IV admixture preparation and compounding by hire date or within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication orders (excluding IV chemotherapy) according to hospital policies and state/federal laws.
• Accurately fill medication orders and maintain records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team, patients and families to ensure safe medication use.
• Follow oral and written directions with precision.
