Job summary

NURA, PLLC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support a Pain Management Clinic and ASC. The role focuses on sterile compounding, accurate prescription processing, and inventory management to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The technician will maintain documentation, assist with QA activities, and help drive efficient workflows while adhering to regulatory standards and patient safety priorities.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician license with MN Board of Pharmacy.
• Certification with PTCB or ExCPT within 12 months of hire.
• Minimum 3 years of sterile compounding experience.
• Completion of 40 hours of sterile products training (ACPE provider).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow complex protocols and ensure safety standards.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Sterile compounding using aseptic techniques per protocols.
• File prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Process prescription billing and reporting.
• Organize and clean supply room; manage inventories.

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Technician II supports the daily operations of the pharmacy within a Pain Management Clinic and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) by performing sterile medication compounding, prescription order entry, medication ordering and inventory management, and billing-related functions. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and professional documentation, ensuring medication preparation and handling processes meet applicable regulatory and safety standards, and supporting efficient pharmacy workflows. The Pharmacy Technician II is expected to function independently within the scope of their training, competency, and applicable regulations while demonstrating sound judgment, attention to detail, accountability, and a commitment to patient safety and quality service.

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications

• Current Pharmacy Technician License through the MN Board of Pharmacy.
• PTCB or ExCPT pharmacy technician certification within 1 year of date of hire.
• 3 or more years of sterile compounding experience.
• Complete 40 hours of sterile products training by an ACPE accredited provider. Paid for by organization.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to understand and follow complex detailed instructions.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Ability to understand and follow protocol and procedure.
• Highly proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
• Previous IV Training preferred.
