UNM Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I/II to support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations. Duties include data entry, triage of medication requests, and assisting with dispensing under a pharmacist supervision.

The role requires completion of hospital pharm tech training or equivalent, and at least 1 year of related experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, with sign-on bonus available in some cases.

• Essential: High School or GED Equival ent
• Essential: Complete Hospital Pharm Tech Training or equivalent
• Essential: 1 year directly related experience
• Nonessential: Program Graduate
• Nonessential: Bilingual English/Spanish or other languages

Responsabilités

• Enter data into computer and forms, verify accuracy
• Order medications from wholesaler and manage inventory
• Maintain software and hardware for Pyxis, RxRobot, Optifill and related systems
• Attend professional group meetings and stay updated on trends
• Support patient assistance programs and access to medications
• Prepare and dispense medications and verify correct drug, dose and form
• Understand pharmacology and pharmacy references and terminology
• Know laws affecting pharmacy practice and handling controlled substances
• Assist with reports and audits as needed
• Learn automated pharmacy systems and ensure accurate patient data entry
