Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years experience as a pharmacy technician in a comparable setting OR 18 months at The University of Kansas Health System.
• Pharmacy Technician Registration - State Board of Pharmacy Kansas and/or Missouri upon Hire; maintain certification.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - PTCB or equivalent.
• Advanced certifications (preferred) such as CSPT or CSPT-Adv.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medication histories.
• Document information in the electronic health record.
• Prepare basic and advanced sterile compounds per procedures and safety protocols.
• Distribute medications and manage ADS/CSM inventory with accuracy.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and place/receive drug orders.
• Operate core pharmacy computer systems and ensure data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards; support patient care and safety.
