Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, California is seeking a Pharmacy Technician who will prepare, package, and label drug products under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist. This position requires a minimum of one year of real-world experience as a Pharmacy Technician and a valid California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License.

Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively within a diverse health system.

Qualifications

• 1+ year full-time relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience in admixing chemotherapy drugs.
• Prior experience in pharmacy preparing sterile I.V. admixture preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, document, and label drug products under supervision.
• Perform required data entry and filing associated with the process.
• Participate in Pharmacy Department Performance Improvement projects.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Education

California Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration License or Pharmacy Intern Registration Certificate
