Under the supervision of a pharmacist, performs hazardous and nonhazardous sterile compounding, nonsterile compounding, delivers medications, and is responsible for refilling and loading medications into automated dispensing machines (ADMs). Performs other medication-related tasks such as packaging, preparation of oral and IV medications, record keeping, and all aspects of their distribution. Assists in transportation and handling of controlled substances and documentation related to their delivery.
Maintains 50% of time performing sterile compounding activities and/or specialized tasks, including addressing MAR messages, code cart management, controlled substance receiving/reconciliation, and medication ordering.
