Under the supervision of a pharmacist, performs hazardous and nonhazardous sterile compounding, nonsterile compounding, medication delivery, and is responsible for refilling and loading medications into automated dispensing machines (ADMs). Performs other medication-related tasks such as packaging, preparation of oral and IV medications, record keeping, and handling controlled substances with proper documentation.
Maintains 50% of time performing sterile compounding activities and/or specialized tasks, including MAR message management, code cart management, controlled substance reconciliation, and medication ordering.
