Responsibilities

• Perform basic pharmacy math calculations for specialty meds.
• Prepare packages for cold chain distribution and delivery.
• Perform outpatient phone triage and schedule refills.
• Conduct insurance adjudication and troubleshoot as needed.
• Receive and enter inventory into pharmacy software.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Medication Orders - Enters prescriptions into pharmacy software for pharmacist review. Pulls and labels hazardous and nonhazardous medications for pharmacist verification. Demonstrates ability to complete basic pharmacy math calculations for specialty medications.
• Cold Chain Distribution - Prepares packages for delivery following specific cold chain distribution procedures.
• Phone Triage - Performs outpatient phone triage.
• Refills - Contacts patients to schedule refills and conduct disease assessments.
• Insurance - Performs insurance adjudication and troubleshooting.
• Inventory - Receives and enters inventory into pharmacy software.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ year of work experience in a related job discipline
• Must be PTCB certified and OH Board of Pharmacy certified

PREFERRED

• One year of work experience in a specialty pharmacy.
