Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician to join our central pharmacy operations. You will assist in dispensing medications, preparing sterile products, and supporting regulated workflows under pharmacist supervision.

Requires a high school diploma, 1+ year hospital pharmacy experience, active Florida pharmacy tech registration, and a willingness to work day shifts with potential weekend coverage. A sign-on bonus is offered where applicable.

Job Description:

Sign On Bonus: Up to $2,500

Shift: Variable, hours vary anywhere from 5:30 AM – 11:00 PM, 8hr shift. Weekends and holidays included.

Address:602 Courtland St, Orlando Fl, 32804 Suite 310, however, will drive to other campuses in Central Florida Division.

• Executes core pharmacy technician duties with proficiency in standard workflows, hospital systems, and pharmacy operational programs under pharmacist supervision.
• Demonstrates proficiency in core pharmacy services, including medication dispensing, preparation, inventory management, sterile compounding, controlled substance handling, and regulatory compliance.
• Provides coverage across core pharmacy practice areas, including central/distributive operations, decentralized services, automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) management, and cleanroom compounding as assigned.
• Accurately prepares and safely dispenses patient-specific medication doses, ensuring correct drug, dose, dosage form, expiration dating, and barcode scanning.
• Compounds sterile medications such as IV solutions and piggyback containers under aseptic conditions, following USP <795> & <797> guidelines and institutional protocols, with appropriate oversight.

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience, retail or ambulatory experience [Required]

Additional Information:

• Active State Pharmacy Technician registration required

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) [Required]
• (PTCB) [Preferred]
