Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant experience or certification.
• Florida Pharmacy Technician license or eligibility.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to learn new procedures and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork.
• Proficient with office software and pharmacy computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect, input, and verify prescription, refill, and patient information and maintain records.
• Assist pharmacists in filling orders and preparing labels for unit doses and prepackaged meds.
• Receive and stock incoming medical supplies and drugs.
• Assist with basic compounding and hands-on tasks.
• Participate in training and continuing education to maintain competence.
• Volunteer for extra assignments and cross-training in related roles.
• Serve as an informal resource for less experienced technicians.
• Assist with training students and onboarding new technicians.
• Mentor others and model proficient practice in dispensing and use of systems.
• Stay current with advanced dispensing knowledge and procedures.
• Adhere to University policies and safeguard assets.
