Job summary

The University of Miami Health System in Miami, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 who will prepare medications under the guidance of a Pharmacist, assist with dispensing, price-checking and restocking.

Responsibilities include collecting and verifying prescriptions, assisting with unit-dose labeling, stocking supplies, and supporting training of other technicians; applicants must have a high school diploma, Florida technician registration, and at least one year of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State of FL Pharmacy Technician registration.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information and maintains patient records.
• Assists pharmacists in filling orders and preparing labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals.
• Receives and stocks incoming medical supplies and drugs.
• Assists with compounding (didactic and/or basic hands-on).
• Participates in training and onboarding of new pharmacy technicians.
