Requires a high school diploma or GED, a formal tech training program or two years of experience, and an Illinois license with PTA certification (PTCB/ExCPT). On-site, full-time, day shift with occasional weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program or two years pharmacy experience.
• Must have Illinois Pharmacy Technician license and PTCB/ExCPT certification (with listed exceptions).
• Prior pharmacy training preferred. Demonstrates basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and distributes medications under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Maintains drug inventory and patient records.
• Adheres to Federal and State regulations and Memorial Health values.
• Uses basic computer systems to access and store information; can lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
