The Pharmacy Technician II at St. Joseph Hospital will perform pharmacy-related functions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and handle medication preparation, distribution, and inventory maintenance.

Essential duties include assisting in routine medication preparation, compounding sterile and non-sterile products, performing dosage calculations, supporting prescription filling in inpatient and outpatient settings, and helping maintain a safe, clean workspace.

Qualificações

• NH Certified Pharmacy Technician credential required.
• 1 year pharmacy technician experience preferred; hospital experience desired.
• Sterile compounding attestation required prior to independent sterile compounding; nat’l certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Supports hospital mission and maintains a clean, organized work area.
• Assists in routine preparation of medications and inventory management.
• Prepares sterile and non-sterile compounds, including hazardous medications.
• Performs dosage calculations and ensures accuracy of prescriptions.
• Assists with prescription filling in inpatient, outpatient, and infusion center settings.
• Maintains inventory and supports purchasing duties as needed.
• Participates in training and supervision of new technicians.
• Complies with safety, risk management, and infection control policies.
