Job summary

Mercy Hospital St.Louis is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications. This role reports to the supervising pharmacist and adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations for patient safety.

The Tech II position requires high school diploma, Missouri registration or ability to register, and 1 year of pharmacy experience (2 years preferred). The hospital offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Active Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration or willingness to submit by first day of work
• 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred but not required
• Successful completion of pharmacy department orientation

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications
• Follow applicable standards and federal, state & local laws for patient safety
• Support supervising pharmacist in patient care within Mercy Hospital guidelines
• Maintain accurate medication records and comply with safety procedures

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician registration or willingness to submit

Pharmacy experience

CPhT certification
