Dayton Children's Hospital in Dayton, OH, seeks a Pharmacy Technician II to assist the pharmacist with the preparation of medications for dispensing in the inpatient pharmacy. You will perform technical tasks and ensure accurate medication preparation in accordance with Pharmacy Department policies and procedures under supervision.
Required: HSD/GED and CPhT (Ohio Board of Pharmacy). Shift availability includes 1st/2nd, every other weekend, four days a week, totaling 40 hours.
The Pharmacy Technician II assists the pharmacist with the preparation of medications for dispensing. The technician performs various technical and supportive tasks necessary to provide pharmacy services. The pharmacy technician II works under supervision of the pharmacist, and focuses on accurate medication preparation following established policy and procedures set forth by the Pharmacy Department. This role meets the requirements of being a qualified pharmacy technician as established by the State Board of Pharmacy and holds a Certified Pharmacy Technician license from a State Board of Pharmacy accredited agency. The technician complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration, along with other regulatory agencies. The pharmacy technician II has mastered job duties and responsibilities and takes active part in training technicians and quality improvement projects.
