Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician II performs functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution.
Responsibilities
- You will to non-sterile compounding, stocking automated dispensing cabinets,
- You will prepare unit dose drug
- You will be delivering medications to patient care areas
- You will check medication storage areas for outdates
- You will need to complete billing duties
- You may work in IV room, controlled substance distribution and monitoring, automation, informatics, medication reconciliation
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) with Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Pharmacy Technician certificate, or Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
- If initially hired with a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued a Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate, must achieve a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) within 12 months of hire date.
- High school diploma
