Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Medical Center Pharmacy in North Carolina is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support patient dispensing, recordkeeping for regulatory compliance, and financial accountability. The role emphasizes excellent customer service and sustaining an organized workflow within the pharmacy.

Required: High School diploma, NC Pharmacy Technician registration within 30 days, active PTCB certification, and 1 year of experience (or an Associate’s in Pharmacy Technology).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Active NC Pharmacy Technician license within 30 days of hire and Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB).
• At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience or completion of an Associate's Degree in Pharmacy Technology.
• Preferred: at least 4 years of pharmacy technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications for patient dispensing with accuracy.
• Maintain records to assure regulatory compliance and financial accountability.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain organized, efficient workflow in the pharmacy.
• Demonstrate MERIT standards of performance.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary

Supports the department by accurately preparing medications for patient dispensing, maintaining appropriate records to assure adherence to regulations, and to provide accurate financial accountability. Provides excellent customer service by helping to maintain an organized and efficient workflow in the pharmacy and consistently demonstrating MERIT standards of performance.

What qualifications you will need

• Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Preferred Education: Associate's degree in Pharmacy Technology
• Required License: Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire AND Active status as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (as credentialed by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board)
• Required Experience: At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience or completion of an Associate's Degree in Pharmacy Technology
• Preferred Experience: At least 4 years of pharmacy technician experience
