Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Alabama to assist under a licensed Pharmacist, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations and adherence to state regulations. Responsibilities include prescription processing, medication dispensing, equipment maintenance, and patient support.

The role requires basic math, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will handle inventory, guide deliveries, and maintain clean, compliant workspaces.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
• Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
• Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review/validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process according to OCH policies and procedures.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and informing supervisor of any defects.
• Collect and maintain basic patient information for planning materials/supplies, equipment, and prescriptions.
• Help ensure a positive patient experience by answering basic patient questions and requests.
• Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies and materials; stock and store new supplies; review expiration dates; identify shortages; pick and pack materials; create tickets; track inventory via data entry in systems; schedule routine patient deliveries.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows; clean and organize supplies.
