Job summary

You'll prepare non-sterile compounds, begin sterile compounding training per USP guidelines, and ensure accurate expiration dating while maintaining ADC/Pyxis workflows and exception handling for floor deliveries.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree/Certificate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
• 1-2 years pharmacy experience preferred.
• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy required.
• Familiarity with non-sterile compounding and sterile compounding training per policy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver medications according to physician order and hospital policy.
• Use ADC/Pyxis systems to fill and verify medication locations and expiration dates.
• Maintain par levels of medications, IV fluids and supplies; restock as needed.
• Repackage medications for unit dose and begin sterile compounding training.
