Job summary

Endeavor Health in Glenview, IL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to support pharmacists in preparing, filling and dispensing medications. This full-time role involves maintaining patient records, packaging and labeling doses, and monitoring inventory.

Required Illinois license and high school diploma; CPhT preferred with plan to become certified within 2 years. Prior hospital or technician experience is preferred; retail experience is a plus for retail locations.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPhT preferred; must become certified within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Prior technician or hospital experience preferred; retail experience may be required for retail locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies

Education

Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license

High School Diploma or equivalent

Hourly Pay Range

$18.50 - $28.68 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Pharmacy Technician I
• Location: Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview, IL
• Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
• Hours: Monday-Friday, rotating shifts; weekend and rotating holidays

What you will do

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies

What you will need

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred. Retail experience preferred for retail positions
