Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I, Inpatient for Evanston Hospital. This per diem, rotating-shift role supports the inpatient pharmacy with medication preparation, labeling, and inventory management.

The candidate must hold an Illinois license as a Pharmacy Technician and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. CPhT is preferred; certification within 2 years of licensure is required or encouraged.

• CPhT certification preferred; must become certified within 2 years of licensure.

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications.
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses.
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies.

Hourly Pay Range

$18.50 - $28.68 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Hours: Rotating shifts. Monday-Friday, weekends and rotating holidays

What You Will Do

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies

What You Will Need

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred. Retail experience preferred for retail positions
• Skills: N/A
