Job summary

Children's Wisconsin is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I - Inpatient in Milwaukee for a part-time, weekend-only schedule. Typical shifts include 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, with duties in medication preparation, packaging, labeling, and delivery under pharmacist supervision.

Responsibilities cover sterile compounding, inventory management, and support for automated dispensing systems, while admitting, discharging, and transferring patients. Wisconsin tech registration is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of pharmacy or healthcare experience preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician training program preferred.
• Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, label, and deliver medications.
• Compound sterile products using aseptic technique.
• Process patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Manage medication inventory, stocking, ordering, and expiration monitoring.
• Handle controlled substances and assist with discrepancy resolution.
• Support automated dispensing cabinets and pharmacy technologies.
• Answer calls and assist patients, families, nurses, and providers.
