Position Information

The Pharmacy Technician I / II at our Wilson Community Health Center will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacist / Director of Medication Adherence Clinic in various pharmacy services including patient eligibility as well as medication access, filling, and dispensing process in accordance with applicable rules and laws by governing bodies including the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Responsibilities will focus on providing pharmacy services to patients enrolled in the medication adherence clinic (pillbox and medication synchronization programs).

THIS POSITION OFFERS A 40-HOUR WORKWEEK, NO WEEKENDS, FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE, 12 PAID HOLIDAYS, BI-WEEKLY PAY.

Experience Requirements / Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Must be self-directed with good organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with a high level of comfort interacting with medical providers, pharmacists, pharmacy department staff, and, most importantly patients.
  • Previous pharmacy work experience is required.
  • Valid North Carolina Driver's license - travel is required to all Carolina Family Health locations.
Education Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

National Pharmacy Technician Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board is preferred.

Schedule

Monday to Friday

8 am - 5 pm

8 hour shift

Day shift

Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing and walking, occasional bending, stooping, lifting, reaching forward and overhead.
  • May occasionally be required to lift patients, office equipment and paper, usually not exceeding fifty pounds of direct lift.
  • Frequent computer work required.

Base Pay Overview

The starting pay for the Pharmacy Technician I position is $15.00 hourly and for the Pharmacy Technician II is $17.00. Please keep in mind that actual salary will vary based on various factors such as qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
