Job summary

United Health Services (UHS) Johnson City pharmacy is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician. The role involves dispensing prescriptions to patients, operating the cash register, and supporting pharmacy production tasks including labeling, counting medications, insurance entry, and initial prescription entry.

• Maintain a neat dispensing area; participate in meetings and department projects.
• Assist in training new staff and other duties as assigned by a supervisor or pharmacist.

Job description

Position Overview

Entry-level position with a focus on dispensing prescriptions to the patient, running cash register/point of sale, and pharmacy production (i.e. prepping labels, counting medication, insurance entry, and initial prescription entry). Employees may perform other duties as assigned under the supervision of an advanced technician or pharmacist. Assists in the maintenance of a neat and clean dispensing area. This includes but is not limited to, training new employees, attending department meetings, participating in department projects, and performing advanced technician tasks as determined by department need.

$17.98 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experience
