Job summary

Ward Road Pharmacy in Arvada, CO is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, packaging, and dispensing tasks. You will enter prescription data into our pharmacy software systems and help prepare medications for delivery to facilities.

Qualifications include Colorado license, ability to obtain national certification, strong attention to detail, and good communication in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

  • Active Colorado Pharmacy Technician license or provisional status.
  • Ability to obtain national pharmacy technician certification within required timeframe.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn pharmacy software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, filling, labeling, and packaging.
  • Enter prescription and patient information into pharmacy software systems.
  • Prepare and package medications for delivery to long-term care facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation per regulations.
  • Receive, stock, rotate, and organize medication inventory and supplies.
  • Answer calls and provide basic customer service to facilities, nurses, and staff.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and protect patient confidentiality.
