Job summary

Wellpath is hiring a Pharmacy Technician at Marion County Jail in Indianapolis to dispense prescriptions under supervision and handle administrative tasks with accuracy and compliance.

The role requires a Pharmacy Technician license/certification and CPR certification; a minimum of one year of experience is preferred, with emphasis on accurate data entry, inventory control, and teamwork with nurses and physicians.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Dispense medical prescriptions and perform administrative duties as directed by the Site Physician or Charge Nurse.
• Maintain inventory records, receive and store incoming supplies, and verify stock.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare personnel as needed.
• Assist healthcare professionals within the scope of pharmacy technician certification.
• Adhere to infection control techniques and respect patient dignity and confidentiality.

How you make a difference

The Pharmacy Technician's primary role is to dispense medical prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Additionally, the Pharmacy Technician performs administrative duties such as data entry, inventory management, and prescription billing. They must maintain a high degree of accuracy and adhere to all state and federal regulations related to pharmaceuticals.

Education

Experience
