Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with activities of daily living under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role emphasizes HIPAA confidentiality and adherence to medication protocols.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 1-year related experience in a medical environment preferred.
• Must be certified as a Medication Technician in the state within which services are provided, and CPR certified.

How you make a difference

The Certified Medication Technician is responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role ensures compliance with medication protocols and participates in audits and performance improvement activities. The technician documents medication administration and patient observations accurately while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality standards. They assist in training new staff, attend team meetings, and support overall clinical operations. Additional duties include equipment handling, supply management, and floating to various patient care areas as needed.

Experience

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

• Must be certified as a Medication Technician in the state within which services are provided
• Current CPR Certification
• Must maintain their SRNA certification
