Job summary

Wellpath at Marion County Jail in Indianapolis is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to dispense prescriptions under a licensed pharmacist, handle data entry, inventory, and billing, and support clinical staff. The role requires a Pharmacy Technician license/certification and CPR.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with at least one year of experience preferred. This on-site position ensures patient care with strict confidentiality.

• Assist healthcare professionals within the scope of pharmacy technician certification.
• Adhere to infection control techniques and principles, while respecting patient dignity and confidentiality.

How you make a difference

The Pharmacy Technician's primary role is to dispense medical prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Additionally, the Pharmacy Technician performs administrative duties such as data entry, inventory management, and prescription billing. They must maintain a high degree of accuracy and adhere to all state and federal regulations related to pharmaceuticals.

Education

• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year experience.
• Familiar with a variety of field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Pharmacy Technician license/certification as required by the state of employment. Current CPR Certification.
