Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing medications for inpatient and outpatient settings. You will handle prescription orders, enter data in EMR systems, stock drugs, and support insurance claims while collaborating with the pharmacist.

Required ExCPT/PTCB certification and state registration, plus a high school diploma or GED with approved tech training. Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

ExCPT Certification or PTCB certification and state registration required.
HS diploma or GED and approved tech training completed.
Experience in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, or Home Infusion preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacist in preparing medications for inpatients and outpatients.
Enter and retrieve information in EMR and prescription systems.
Stock and label medications; count and pour under pharmacist supervision.
Support insurance claim processing and packaging medications.
Educate and precept new technicians and students.
