Cleveland Clinic in Beachwood, OH, is hiring a full-time caregiver to support high-volume prescription fulfillment in a 6-station Home Delivery Pharmacy environment. You will fill prescriptions, receive and scan orders, restock inventory, package shipments, and prepare medications for delivery using Pyxis systems and pallet jacks.

Shifts are 40 hours/week, with 10-hour or 8-hour options, and may include Saturdays. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency and teamwork to serve patients promptly.

Competenze

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA at hire.
• Active OBOP registration as Certified/Registered Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee at hire.
• OBOP registration must be updated to Certified Pharmacy Technician within 6 months.

A caregiver in this role will support high-volume prescription fulfillment at Cleveland Clinic’s Administrative Building in Beachwood, where the Home Delivery Pharmacy prepares and ships medications directly to patients. Working in an assembly-line environment with six filling stations, the caregiver will fill prescriptions, receive and scan medication orders, restock inventory and supplies, package shipments and prepare medications for delivery. Additional responsibilities include using a pallet jack to move supplies and working with Pyxis machines to support pharmacy operations. The department has processed a record 3,422 prescriptions in a single day, making accuracy, efficiency and teamwork essential to ensuring patients receive their medications in a timely manner.

A caregiver in this full-time position will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled based on department needs. Available shift options include 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (10-hour shift), 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts). The pharmacy operates from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and occasional Saturday shifts may be required.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Upon hire, you must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcare Association (NHA).
• In addition to the above requirement, upon hire, it is required to hold an active registration through the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (OBOP) as either a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Pharmacy Technician Trainee
• Please note: Caregivers with active Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Registered Pharmacy Technician registrations are required to update their registration to a Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the OBOP within 6 months

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Six months of hospital experience
• Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program

Physical Requirements:

• Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing, reaching, stretching, stooping, and sitting for prolonged times; manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer, dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 20 lbs. while walking, stooping, bending and reaching.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $21.50 Maximum hourly: $31.00
